Case studies

What we have achieved for clientsfrom 5 to more than 10,000 users.

Here are five projects from the trades, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, banking and logistics, all delivered in Germany. Each case study names the industry, the size in users, the task and the result we can document from the project.

How to read the case studies

Each case study starts with the industry and the number of users, meaning the people who work with the IT. Below that you find the task and the result.

We only state figures that come from the project itself. Where no reliable figure exists, we describe the result without one, as in the logistics project. The projects were delivered by our team for clients in Germany, and we bring the same methods to US businesses.

Why the case studies are anonymous

We publish client names, logos and quotes only with the client's written approval. In regulated industries especially, details of a company's IT should not become public.

The same discretion applies to your business. You decide whether and how we may mention your project as a reference later.

What every project ends with

For us a project is finished only when you could carry on without us.

  • Documentation of the target structure that belongs to you
  • Configurations and admin access in your hands
  • The decisions made, with the reasoning behind them
  • A list of open items
  • A handover that another provider could also work with
  • For rollouts, a phase of close support after launch

In the intro call we tell you which of our projects comes closest to your situation and what that means for your plans. If none fits, we tell you that too.

Five projects at a glance

Electrical contractor, two companies, Germany · 30 users

We merged two companies onto shared IT without interrupting daily work: Microsoft 365 fully in the cloud, sign-in with MFA and Conditional Access, device management through Intune and Autopilot.

Result: New employees are now ready to work in less than a day instead of three to four days. A new device is ready in two hours, and it is clear which software runs and which licenses are paid for.

Industrial supplier, international, Germany · 2,000 users

Introduced an Identity & Access Management solution, brought order to file shares and set up a self-service password reset for users.

Result: Password tickets dropped from almost 300 to 10 per week. That gives the help desk time for other requests.

Pharmaceutical research, international, Germany · 5 users

We took over the complete IT of a small research company with international operations, rebuilt it and keep developing it in close coordination with management.

Result: A fully automated IT environment designed for strict EU security requirements, with separate admin and user accounts and secured VPN between locations.

Bank, Germany · 250 users

Built and introduced a new IT service management solution, with support from implementation through launch into day-to-day operations.

Result: Twelve months from project start to go-live, followed by a phase of close support in operations.

Logistics, international, Germany · 10,000+ users

Replaced a grown IAM setup together with a contracted implementation partner. We advised, managed, implemented and set up the processes between the client and the partner.

Result: The help desk works faster thanks to extended permissions, identity processes run automatically, and the HR master data is cleaned up.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why don't you name your clients?

Because we publish names, logos and quotes only with the client's written approval. In regulated industries especially, details of a company's IT should not become public.

Where do the figures in the case studies come from?

From the projects themselves. Where no reliable figure exists, we describe the result without one.

Why are all case studies from Germany?

FNLY IT LLC is part of the FNLY Group. Our sister company FNLY IT UG has delivered these projects in Germany, and our US clients get the same team, methods and standards. We do not list US references until US clients have approved them in writing.

Do you work with small businesses?

Yes. Our smallest case study has 5 users, and in the US we work with businesses of 5 to 500 employees.

Do you take on large projects?

Yes, especially in Identity & Access Management and IT projects. On large projects we work alongside internal IT and other providers, as in the logistics project with more than 10,000 users.

Can I talk to one of your clients?

Only if the client agrees. We check that case by case with the client and never share a name without their approval.

What do we get at the end of a project?

Documentation of the target structure, the configurations, the decisions and the open items. It belongs to you, and another provider can also continue working with it.

Do you have experience in our industry?

Our case studies come from the trades, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, banking and logistics. From ten years of project management we also bring experience with automotive suppliers and manufacturers.
